FRE 102-Elementary French II 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
Stresses the aural-oral approach to reading; the development of the student’s<br />
ability to read, write and converse on an elementary level of difficulty.<br />
Prerequisite: FRE 101 or its equivalent.<br />
FRE 201-Intermediate French I** 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
The intermediate course presents a thorough review of French syntax, vocabulary,<br />
building, phonetics translation, reading, writing and conversation on the level<br />
of practical use.<br />
Prerequisite: FRE 102 or its equivalent.<br />
FRE 202-Intermediate French II** 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
In addition to continued study of French syntax, includes conversation, reading<br />
and writing in French; selected readings of literary and cultural merit are used to<br />
improve the student’s proficiency in reading French.<br />
Prerequisite: FRE 201 or its equivalent.<br />
**Independent study with credit is possible by arrangement with professor.<br />
SPA 101-Elementary Spanish I 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
Designed to teach basic skills; comprehension, speaking, reading and writing.<br />
Students will learn to write controlled sentences on selected subjects and vocabulary.<br />
Spanish culture and songs are included.<br />
SPA 102-Elementary Spanish II 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
A further concentration on the acquisition of the basic skills of comprehension,<br />
speaking, reading and writing. The aural-oral method is stressed.<br />
Prerequisite: SPA 101 or its equivalent.<br />
SPA 201-Intermediate Spanish I** 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
A review of grammar and literary readings; course will deal with both grammar<br />
and literature; the class will be conducted mainly in Spanish and will include a<br />
more intensive writing program. Cultural audio-visual materials are utilized.<br />
Prerequisite: SPA 102 or its equivalent.<br />
SPA 202-Intermediate Spanish II** 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
A review of grammar and literary readings; course will include works of representative<br />
authors in Hispanic literature, with emphasis on concentration and discussion.<br />
Students who complete this course are ready to travel to Spanish-speaking countries.<br />
Prerequisite: SPA 201 or its equivalent.<br />

GET 107-Electronic Drafting for<br />
Engineering Technology 1 Lect., 2 Lab., 2 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
The basics of engineering drawing with the use of a computer. The mechanics of<br />
producing a technical report. Elementary operations necessary to produce an electronic<br />
diagram using AutoCAD® and other CAD software programs will be presented.<br />
The techniques of importing CAD drawings into a word processor will be<br />
presented. Other specialized word processor functions needed to produce a technical<br />
report will be covered including subscripts, superscripts, tables, Greek letters<br />
and equations.<br />
GET 109-Blueprint Reading and Estimating 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
Designed to develop a knowledge and understanding of architectural blueprints.<br />
Scale drawing, types of blueprints for estimating purposes is covered. This course<br />
will cover the basic blueprint reading requirements for the certificate programs in<br />
plumbing and heating and construction electrician.<br />
