Q4 :
- CER (Aspirin) = 3%
- EER (new antiplatelet) = 1.5 %
- ARR = CER – EER = 3% – 1.5% = 1.5 %
- RRR = = 50%
- That is 50% fewer strokes may be prevented by the use of the newer agent
compared with aspirin although this would be the equivalent of 15 per 1000
patients treated (30 strokes expected / 1000 patients treated with aspirin but only
15 with the new drug).
