هام : UC) Colo-rectal cancer on top of IBD (mainly
Ulcerative colitis is more risky for development of colorectal cancer than Crohn`s .
Risk of colorectal cancer in UC is 10-20 times that of general population.
The ↑ risk mainly related to chronic infection.
Lesions may be multifocal.
Factors increasing risk of cancer in UC :

3. Patients with pancolitis(most risky factor).

Colonoscopy screening of the patient with UC :
• Colonoscopy should be performed:
كل 3 سنوات في العشرينات decade. o 3-yearly in the second
o 2-yearly in the third decade.
o Yearly by the fourth decade.
o Yearly screening of post-liver transplant Patients for PSC
o Annually if UC + PSC (because of ↑ risk of colonic cancer)
