Recommended Treatment (MAGNE-SET ® )
For most lost circulation problems, a slurry of 25 or 50 bbl of MAGNE-SET is sufficient. A
small extra quantity should be mixed to allow for any residual slurry that cannot be pumped from
the tank or pit.
Mixing Procedure
1. Add water to a clean pit or tank.
2. Dissolve the proper amount of MAGNE-SET retarder in the water.
3. Dissolve the proper amount of MAGNE-SET ® thinner in the water/MAGNE-SET retarder
solution.
4. Add MAGNE-SET powder to the solution until weight is 14.0 lb m /gal. If foaming occurs, add
W.O. TM DEFOAM.
