The process consists of six clearly defined steps. Each one is described below including the forms that
need to be filled out.
This FES Process map has been developed to aid the optimization and planning of the drilling fluid life
cycle. It is a systematic approach designed to ensure that all of the issues mentioned are addressed and
that the deployment will be carried out with a high level of competence and service.
Step One – Determining Expectations
The first step in the process is determining the expectations, or needs, of the project, or well, in order
to plan for a successful job. When every member of a team is aware of firm, clear expectations from
