1. The relative volumes of oil/water must be adhered to for each density.<br />

2. To obtain fluid densities between those listed in the table is a simple case of extrapolation.<br />

3. All these fluids are designed for yield point values of ± l6 lb f /100 ft 2 . Increasing oil content<br />

decreases viscosity; increasing water content increases viscosity, but also increases tendency of<br />

solids to become water wet.<br />

4. Employ maximum agitation in the slug pit when mixing barite.<br />

Recommended Treatment (BIO-SPOT)<br />

Spot at least enough BIO-SPOT spotting fluid to cover the entire stuck pipe interval, but<br />

preferably not less than 100 bbl (see Table 7-10).<br />

Mixing Procedure<br />

1. Thoroughly clean mixing pit. Flush pump and mixing lines with water and drain, if possible, to<br />

minimize dilution of the BIO-SPOT fluid.<br />

2. Add correct volume of BIO-SPOT concentrate for desired volume and fluid density.<br />
