Winter Dress Blue Shirt
W2 – W4 and O-1 – O6 Collar rank
insignia are centered between the top and
bottom collar edges. The center of the
insignia is parallel and one inch from the
leading edge of the collar. W-2 – W4 will
place their designator on the left and
rank on the right.

Admiral Stars
Admiral Stars shall be point-to-point.
With the single top point(s) facing
inboard (towards the neck), the center of
the first star is placed one inch in from
the collars leading edge and one inch
down from the collars inboard (top) edge
with additional stars running parallel to
the collars inboard (top) edge.
Operational Dress Uniform
Admiral Stars shall be point-to-point,
with the single point(s) facing inboard
(towards the neck), the center of the first
star is placed one inch in from the collars
leading edge and one inch up from the
collars outboard (bottom) edge with
additional stars running parallel to the
collars outboard (bottom) edge.

Operational Dress Shirt
Only embroidered collar rank insignia are
authorized on the ODU.
Collar rank insignia are centered on the collar,
along an imaginary line bisecting the angle of
the collar point that runs through the middle of
the insignia.
Collar rank insignia with exception of
embroidered O-3 and O-6 will be placed 1 1/8
inch from collar point. O-3 and O-6 will be
placed 1 1/2 inch from bisecting collar point.
*CG Academy Cadets and Officer Candidate
School personnel are authorized to wear metal
collar insignia on the ODU.
