Clarifies donation or selling individual uniform type clothing.<br />

“Donating or selling of distinct individual uniform type clothing (i.e.<br />

SDB‘s, Combination cap, Garrison cap) to the public is not allowed,<br />

although the selling or donating of generic items (i.e. T-shirts,<br />

belt/buckle, boots) is authorized as long as there are no names, military<br />

markings, including buttons, patches, logos, etc., on the clothing that<br />

would identify it as belonging to an individual or as a <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong><br />

uniform item.”<br />

Updates when a separated member may wear the <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> uniform. Any<br />

member who has served honorably in the <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> during time of war<br />

(declared or undeclared) may wear the uniform of his/her rank or rating<br />

when not in active service, whether or not on the retired list during:<br />

(1) Occasions of ceremony (see 14 U.S.C. 483) and<br />

(2) "When authorized by regulations prescribed by the President." (see<br />

10 U.S.C. 772(e)).<br />

Updates the Name of the “Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support (DLA<br />

Troop Support).”<br />

Chapter 2<br />

Adds the Killed In Action “KIA” bracelet to the list of authorized bracelets.<br />

Clarifies the wearing of Back Packs with two shoulder straps. “Forward to<br />

Aft”.<br />

Adds “Blue” as an additional color that eyewear retainers may be.<br />
