Collar rank insignia are centered on the collar,
along an imaginary line bisecting the angle of
the collar point.
Insignia placement for E-4 – E-9 and MCPOCG
for Foul Weather Parka II or the ODU Utility
Jacket.
Embroidered FWPII fabric rank device is
worn centered on the Velcro tab on the front of
the FWPII or ODU Utility jacket.
Shield insignia on all Service Dress and Dinner Dress uniforms are embroidered gold
lace with the background of the same color as the jacket. Enlisted personnel will wear
one gold shield sleeve insignia on the outer right sleeve. The shield will be placed
midway between the elbow and cuff, and midway between the front and back crease, as
shown below.
Enlisted service stripes consist of embroidered diagonal stripes to indicate the length of
service. One service stripe will be worn for each full four years of active or reserve
service in any of the Armed Forces, including the National Guard, or any combination
thereof. The color of the service stripes for E-4 through E-6 is scarlet for all jackets
