Collar rank insignia are centered on the collar,<br />

along an imaginary line bisecting the angle of<br />

the collar point.<br />

Insignia placement for E-4 – E-9 and MCPOCG<br />

for Foul Weather Parka II or the ODU Utility<br />

Jacket.<br />

Embroidered FWPII fabric rank device is<br />

worn centered on the Velcro tab on the front of<br />

the FWPII or ODU Utility jacket.<br />

Shield insignia on all Service Dress and Dinner Dress uniforms are embroidered gold<br />

lace with the background of the same color as the jacket. Enlisted personnel will wear<br />

one gold shield sleeve insignia on the outer right sleeve. The shield will be placed<br />

midway between the elbow and cuff, and midway between the front and back crease, as<br />

shown below.<br />

Enlisted service stripes consist of embroidered diagonal stripes to indicate the length of<br />

service. One service stripe will be worn for each full four years of active or reserve<br />

service in any of the Armed Forces, including the National <strong>Guard</strong>, or any combination<br />

thereof. The color of the service stripes for E-4 through E-6 is scarlet for all jackets
