6.E. Women’s Fitting Guide
Personnel must try-on each garment that is issued or bought. Every effort will be made to obtain
the best possible fit from stock. This will reduce official and personal alteration costs.
The proper fit of any uniform cannot be made with the individual standing at the rigid position of
attention. Therefore, when fitting is performed, personnel will stand erect without stiffness, keep
their feet slightly apart, and hang their arms naturally at the side.
The below table lists the alterations that are authorized. NO ALTERATIONS OTHER THAN
THOSE SPECIFIED ARE PERMITTED

Note: Both the long and short-sleeved versions of the light blue shirt may be altered to provide a
better or more athletic fit. All shirt alteration costs other than those for recruit initial issue will
be borne by the individual.
