COMDTINST M1020.6G 3.C.8. Belts and Belt Buckles Wear belts with all trousers and skirts that have belt loops. Item Description Related Information BLACK BELT WITH BRASS TIP The black web belt is made of 1 ¼ inch wide (Cotton) black webbing with an attached brass colored clip end (metal tip). WHITE BELT The white belt is made of 1 ¼ inch white webbing with brass colored BLACK BELT WITH SUBDUED TIP Authorized until 1 July 2012 BASIC RIGGERS BELT clip end (metal tip). The black web belt is made of1 ¼ inch wide (Cotton) black webbing with an attached subdued clip end (metal tip). The Basic Riggers belt (NSN: 8415- 01-526-5551) is made of 1 ¾ inch wide black nylon fabric with a sewn on subdued, fast cinch buckle. When worn the bitter end should be behind but not past the first belt loop on the wearer’s left. 3-42 Wear With Brass Belt Buckle on Dress Blue Trousers Wear With � White Dress Trousers � White Dress Skirt Wear With Subdued open faced black buckle on ODU Trousers Wear With � ODU Trousers Manner of Wear For Standard Brass Buckle Men’s Shirt and Men’s Trousers Align the belt so that the tab edge (metal tip) touches the wearer’s LEFT side of the buckle. Align the right side of the buckle with the opening of the shirt and opening of the fly, forming a straight line. Women’s Shirt and Women’s Trousers Align the belt so that the tab edge touches the wearer’s RIGHT side of the buckle. Align the left side of the buckle with the opening of the shirt and opening of the fly, forming a straight line. Combination of Men’s and Women’s Shirt and Trousers When wearing a shirt and trousers for different sexes, a shirt, trousers and fly alignment is unachievable. However, in all cases, the non-tab edge of the belt must align with the fly. When women trousers are worn, wear the belt clip end (metal tip) should face the wearer’s right. It has pleats and measures 5 inches wide for men and 3 ½ inches for women. When wearing the cummerbund, the pleat openings face upward. The Waistcoat is made of white, conservatively woven pique, or other suitable material, with set-in lapel of same fabric as vest, and singlebreasted with a welted pocket in each front section. Closure is by three 22-1/2-line CG gold buttons on right front.
