3.D.10. ENLISTED HEADGEAR INSIGNIA<br />

Combination Cap<br />

For E-6 and below, the insignia is a 1¾ inch silver and gold <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> medallion. Attach<br />

the insignia to the mount of the combination cap band. For E-7 through E-9 and MCPOCG,<br />

the combination cap insignia is a gold-colored fouled anchor 1¾ inches long, including ring<br />

and fouling, with the appropriate number of stars affixed to the ring or stock of the anchor.<br />

The insignia are mounted on the combination cap band.<br />

E-7 through E-9 and MCPOCG E-6 and below<br />

Garrison Cap<br />

Cap devices are worn on the wearer’s left as follows:<br />

For E-1 through E-3 a miniature version of the <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong><br />

medallion, approximately 1 inch in size.<br />

For E-4 through E-6 an appropriate collar rate/pay grade<br />

insignia.<br />

For E-7 through E-9 and MCPOCG, a miniature version of<br />

the combination cap anchor, approximately 1-3/8 inches<br />

high.<br />

Standard Ball Cap and Unit Ball cap<br />

The insignia worn on the ball cap will be the standard metal<br />

collar insignia. All insignia will be centered on the front<br />

of the cap so as to not interfere with the lettering.<br />

Standard Ball Cap - Centered between the lettering and<br />

the bill of the cap. Unit Ball Cap - Centered between the<br />

lettering above and lettering below.<br />

The center of the insignia is<br />

placed 1½ inch from the bottom<br />

of the cap, and 2 inches back<br />

from the front crease.
