placed between the words “Company Commander”.
Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner
A one-inch gold shield with a silver caduceus centered
on shield.
There is no miniature version.

3.E.2. DEVICES
Devices denote command afloat and command ashore experience. The Command Afloat
and Command Ashore Devices are considered equivalent. Personnel entitled to wear the
devices may wear them in addition to any other qualification insignia. Full-size devices
will be worn on full dress uniforms. Miniature devices will be worn on all other
uniforms. Two command devices may be worn at the same time on most uniforms;
however, incumbent COs and OICs are authorized to wear their current embroidered
miniature device on the ODU. It is standard protocol for admirals not to wear devices.

cap device superimposed on a wreath of gold oak leaves.
