A one-inch gold shield with a silver caduceus centered<br />

on shield.<br />

There is no miniature version.<br />

3.E.2. DEVICES<br />

Devices denote command afloat and command ashore experience. The Command Afloat<br />

and Command Ashore Devices are considered equivalent. Personnel entitled to wear the<br />

devices may wear them in addition to any other qualification insignia. Full-size devices<br />

will be worn on full dress uniforms. Miniature devices will be worn on all other<br />

uniforms. Two command devices may be worn at the same time on most uniforms;<br />

however, incumbent COs and OICs are authorized to wear their current embroidered<br />

miniature device on the ODU. It is standard protocol for admirals not to wear devices.<br />

A gold and silver device with a miniature officer eagle<br />

superimposed on a partially unfurled commission<br />

pennant.<br />

Command Ashore<br />

A gold and silver device with a miniature officer eagle<br />

cap device superimposed on a wreath of gold oak leaves.<br />
