Combination Cap
For all officers, the combination cap insignia will consist of a gold spread eagle
approximately 2 ¾ inches high. The cap insignia may be embroidered or made of metal
with appropriate plating to simulate gold or silver. Attach the insignia to the mount of the
combination cap band.
Garrison Cap
O-1 Through O-4

When wearing the garrison cap, cap insignias are worn as
follows:
The left insignia on the garrison cap will consist of the
miniature version of the eagle worn on the combination
cap.
The right insignia on the garrison cap will be of the same
design as the collar insignia.
The insignia are positioned on the left or the right equally.
Standard Ball Cap and Unit Ball Cap
The insignia worn on the ball cap will be the standard
metal collar insignia. All insignia will be centered on
the front of the cap so as to not interfere with the
lettering. Standard Ball Cap - Centered between the
lettering and the bill of the cap. Unit Ball Cap -
Centered between the lettering above and lettering
below. O-6 insignia is worn with the eagle facing the
wearer’s right.

The center of both insignia are
placed 1½ inches from the
bottom of the cap, and 2 inches
right or left of the front crease.
