Combination Cap<br />

For all officers, the combination cap insignia will consist of a gold spread eagle<br />

approximately 2 ¾ inches high. The cap insignia may be embroidered or made of metal<br />

with appropriate plating to simulate gold or silver. Attach the insignia to the mount of the<br />

combination cap band.<br />

Garrison Cap<br />

O-1 Through O-4<br />

When wearing the garrison cap, cap insignias are worn as<br />

follows:<br />

The left insignia on the garrison cap will consist of the<br />

miniature version of the eagle worn on the combination<br />

cap.<br />

The right insignia on the garrison cap will be of the same<br />

design as the collar insignia.<br />

The insignia are positioned on the left or the right equally.<br />

Standard Ball Cap and Unit Ball Cap<br />

The insignia worn on the ball cap will be the standard<br />

metal collar insignia. All insignia will be centered on<br />

the front of the cap so as to not interfere with the<br />

lettering. Standard Ball Cap - Centered between the<br />

lettering and the bill of the cap. Unit Ball Cap -<br />

Centered between the lettering above and lettering<br />

below. O-6 insignia is worn with the eagle facing the<br />

wearer’s right.<br />

The center of both insignia are<br />

placed 1½ inches from the<br />

bottom of the cap, and 2 inches<br />

right or left of the front crease.
