Safety Boots Eight-Ten inch well blackened composite toe safety boots. Dark
brown deck shoes can be prescribed by program managers for boat
crews in specific cases, and oxfords for medical reasons only.
Belt Basic Riggers Belt (NSN: 8415-01-526-5551). The optional cotton
belt with subdued buckle is authorized until 1 July 2012.
Head Gear Standard or Unit Ball cap, Cold Weather cap, or Watch cap as

weather dictates. See section 3.C.1.
Worn Year-Round - appropriate while visiting other DOD agencies
when the ODU is the comparable uniform to what is being
worn. ODUs are allowed for wear while traveling on TDY (on
commercial – air, bus, train, etc.) with the standard ball cap. It
is not a liberty uniform.
