Description Badge<br />

Office of the Secretary of Homeland Security<br />

This badge is authorized to be worn by personnel currently<br />

serving on the Secretary of Homeland Security's personal<br />

staff. Personnel may permanently wear the badge after one<br />

year of satisfactory duty. This includes those in PAL billets<br />

on the Secretary's and Deputy Secretary's staffs.<br />

The large size badge is worn on the Full Dress and Service<br />

Dress uniforms. The small badge is worn on the Formal<br />

Dress, all Dinner Dress, Tropical Blue and Winter Dress.<br />

Joint Chiefs of Staff<br />

This badge is authorized to be worn by personnel assigned<br />

to the organization. Personnel may wear the badge during<br />

and after the period of their detail<br />

Commandant’s Staff Identification Badge<br />

This badge is awarded on a temporary basis upon<br />

assignment to positions certified by the Executive Assistant<br />

to the Commandant. After one year of satisfactory<br />

performance the permanent badge is authorized.
