3.A.1. Required Uniforms<br />

All <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> personnel are responsible for maintaining their uniforms in serviceable<br />
condition, and are responsible for procuring sufficient quantities of uniform items and<br />
properly maintaining them as appropriate to their assigned duties. All personnel are<br />
responsible for owning, wearing, and maintaining sufficient quantities of personal items<br />
such as undergarments, socks and stockings, etc. to comply with <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> standards<br />
of personal hygiene and appearance.<br />
These uniforms are required: By:<br />
Dinner Dress Blue<br />
Service Dress Blue<br />
Full Dress Blue<br />
Tropical Blue<br />
Operational Dress Uniform (ODU)<br />
Trench Coat<br />
Service Dress White<br />
Full Dress White<br />
Dinner Dress White Jacket<br />
Dinner Dress Blue Jacket (Black Jacket)<br />
All personnel.<br />
All officers (including reserve officers on<br />
ADSW-AC or ADSW-RC for one year or<br />
more).<br />
O-4 and above on Active Duty<br />
Master Chief Petty Officer of the <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong><br />
and Gold Badge Command Master Chiefs.<br />
Optional for all other officers and enlisted<br />
members.<br />
Dinner Dress White O-3 - CWO2<br />
Formal Dress O-6 and above.<br />
Other officers assigned to duty where it<br />
would be required by protocol.<br />
Master Chief Petty Officer of the <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong><br />
and Gold Badge Command Master Chiefs.<br />
Optional for all other officers and enlisted<br />
members<br />
E-4 and above.
