OPERATIONAL The ODU top is a <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> blue Wear With<br />
DRESS variation of the Battle Dress Uniform<br />
<strong>UNIFORM</strong> (BDU). It has two flap closure pockets on � ODU (tucked)<br />
(ODU) TOP each side of the chest and a flap covering the<br />
buttons. It is worn tucked into the trousers.<br />

pocket. The hem of the untucked shirt will<br />
cover buttocks, with an allowable tolerance<br />
of one inch above or below the bottom of the<br />
buttocks. Note: For most people, the<br />
bottom hem of the shirt will extend to<br />
approximately the top of the cargo pocket on<br />
the ODU trousers.<br />
Wear With<br />

outdoors or indoors, the<br />
temporary removal of the<br />
ODU top is authorized<br />
for heat stress relief.<br />
This is a temporary<br />
solution for the period<br />
that personnel are<br />
working in the hot<br />
climate. It cannot be<br />
prescribed as the uniform<br />
of the day and is not<br />
authorized for wear<br />
outside the workspace.<br />
