with the strap and back of the cover on the wearers head.

4.D.14. Basic Physical Fitness Clothing (BPF)
The Basic Physical Fitness uniform consists of blue mesh shorts, with “Coast
Guard” on the right thigh, and a gray Coast Guard T-Shirt. Uniform Distribution
Center is the single source of supply for all BPF uniforms.
Physical fitness clothing outside of accessions is not organizational clothing and
cannot be purchased with unit funds.
4.D.15. Training Caps
Red ball caps are authorized for small arms instructors while engaged in range operations
and cutter training teams as needed.
Not to be worn to and from, but only during training evolutions.
4.D.16 Boonie Hats
Boonie hats are authorized as organizational clothing for operational environment only,
not to be worn off base, when interacting with the public, or by law enforcement or
boarding team members.
Only sew on rank insignia are authorized, placed in the front center of the front section.
Authorized source of supply is the Coast Guard Uniform Distribution Center.
