4.D.14. Basic Physical Fitness Clothing (BPF)<br />

The Basic Physical Fitness uniform consists of blue mesh shorts, with “<strong>Coast</strong><br />

<strong>Guard</strong>” on the right thigh, and a gray <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> T-Shirt. Uniform Distribution<br />

Center is the single source of supply for all BPF uniforms.<br />

Physical fitness clothing outside of accessions is not organizational clothing and<br />

cannot be purchased with unit funds.<br />

4.D.15. Training Caps<br />

Red ball caps are authorized for small arms instructors while engaged in range operations<br />

and cutter training teams as needed.<br />

Not to be worn to and from, but only during training evolutions.<br />

4.D.16 Boonie Hats<br />

Boonie hats are authorized as organizational clothing for operational environment only,<br />

not to be worn off base, when interacting with the public, or by law enforcement or<br />

boarding team members.<br />

Only sew on rank insignia are authorized, placed in the front center of the front section.<br />

Authorized source of supply is the <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> Uniform Distribution Center.<br />
