Authorized Uniform Items Additional Comments This uniform<br />

ODU Shirt (untucked) Sleeves rolled up (accordion style, with only the cuff showing) or<br />

down. Military creases are not authorized. Pockets, lapels, and<br />

sleeves will lay flat. The hem of the untucked shirt will cover<br />

buttocks, with an allowable tolerance of one inch above or below<br />

the bottom of the buttocks.<br />

ODU Trousers (untucked) Bloused with safety boots, straight with oxfords or deck shoes when<br />

authorized. Blousing bands are optional; if not used, trousers can be<br />

tucked into boot, and then adjusted to appear bloused. Pockets will<br />

lay flat.<br />

CG Blue Crew Neck T-Shirt Worn under UODU Top.<br />

Collar Insignia Sew-on cloth insignia are required.<br />

Nametape Cloth nametape is sewn above right pocket and must not be shorter<br />

than or extended beyond the width of the UODU breast pocket.<br />

Direct embroidery on shirt is not authorized.<br />

USCG ID Tape Cloth tape with “U. S. <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong>” is sewn above left pocket and<br />

must not be shorter than or extended beyond the width of the<br />

UODU breast pocket. Direct embroidery on shirt is not authorized.<br />

Qualification Insignia Only one embroidered insignia is authorized. Direct embroidery on<br />

shirt is not authorized. Embroidered insignia will be the same size<br />

as the metal insignia, and must not be shorter than or extended<br />

beyond the width of the ODU breast pocket. Temporary insignia<br />

are not authorized.<br />

Miniature Devices Only embroidered device authorized; only for incumbent COs and<br />

OICs. Metal devices are not authorized.<br />

Identification Badge Only MCPOCG, MCPO-RF, Command Master Chief/Senior<br />

Chief/Chief, and Rating Force Master Chiefs are authorized to<br />

wear a single, current assignment badge on the UODU.
