k. Qualification Insignia – A maximum of two earned embroidered qualification<br />
insignia may be worn.<br />
l. Badges – Command master/senior/chief and authorized badges will be<br />
embroidered and worn on the left breast pocket.<br />
m. Name Tapes – The wearer’s name is worn over the right pocket and the words<br />
“U. S. COAST GUARD” is worn over the left pocket. Lettering maybe ½<br />
inch to ¾ inch block style on approximately 1 ¼ inch wide fabric strips. Both<br />
tapes will match the width of the pocket.<br />
n. Patches – Port Security Unit (PSU) patches may be worn at the discretion of<br />
the commanding officer of a commissioned PSU unit. Patches will be subtle,<br />
tasteful, and respectful. Patches will be embroidered using the same<br />
background color and outline thread as is used for name tapes. Unit patches<br />
will be centered on the upper left shoulder ½ inch below the top of the<br />
shoulder seam. U. S. flag patches are not authorized unless directed by the<br />
operational commander “and” overseas “or” assigned overseas with DOD.<br />
Patches for other units are not authorized.<br />
4.D.13. Campaign Cover<br />
The Campaign Cover (also Stetson Company Commander’s hat) is only authorized for<br />
Company Commanders at TRACEN Cape May. Commanding Officer, TRACEN<br />
Cape May, may authorize its wear with the Service Dress Blue uniform and other<br />
less formal uniforms.<br />
The Company Commander Campaign Cover is a dark blue, broad-brimmed felt hat with<br />
a high crown pinched at the four corners.<br />
The strap is cut so that the end forms a "v", worn so that the tab is to the wearer's left, not<br />
exceeding 1-1/2" past the metal buckle.<br />
The cover device is the same device worn on the wearers combination cover (E-6 and<br />
below CG Shield, E-7 Anchor).<br />
