Safety boots must be worn<br />

Formal Black Pumps<br />

The formal black pumps may be<br />

made of suede, silk, or poie de soie<br />

with closed heels and toes.<br />

The standard-issue safety<br />

boot is the Super Boot II,<br />

plain black, quick-laced,<br />

high-top (Eight –Ten inch<br />

high) boot with a<br />

reinforced composite (not<br />

steel) toe. They are fully<br />

lined with Gortex,<br />

completely waterproof<br />

with a Vibram sole, brass<br />

eyelets with rubber<br />

coating. However, these<br />

boots are not insulated.<br />

Protective footwear must<br />

comply with the American<br />

Society for testing<br />

Materials (ASTM)<br />

Document number<br />

ASTM-f2413-05 (as<br />

updated on (3/11/05)).<br />

Steel-toed boots are no<br />

longer authorized after 31<br />

December 2012.<br />
