Women<br />

Consists of a stiffened oval crown<br />

with detachable white cover, a blue<br />

cap band that is 1-¼ inches wide<br />

with integral mount for insignia,<br />

and a blue brim. The brim is rolled<br />

at the sides and flat in the front and<br />

back. Two blue streamers are<br />

attached to the band at the back.<br />

Ornamentation<br />

Flag Officers wear a double row of<br />

oak leaves and acorns on the<br />

hatband. For Captains and<br />

Commanders, the hatband has one<br />

row of gold oak leaves and acorns.<br />

A fore and aft style cap made of<br />

<strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> Blue serge fabric.<br />

Men and women wear the same<br />

style garrison cap. When cap is not<br />

worn, it is carried under the belt on<br />

the right side of the body with the<br />

<strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> insignia facing<br />

outward.<br />
