Authorizes the Felt style visor on the Combination cap: “Felt style visor is<br />

authorized for Officers with Acorns and Oak leafs.”<br />

Update the policy on the Standard Ball cap: “This cap is made of the same<br />

<strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> blue material as the ODU with a rear hook and loop<br />

adjusting tab. Cap will have U. S. COAST GUARD embroidered in an<br />

arch across the front of the cap face in 1/2-inch gold “Block Caps”. The<br />

lettering will be placed on the hat to allow proper placement of the<br />

required rank insignia or CG device.<br />

Gold acorns and oak leaves (i.e. “Scrambled Eggs”) are no longer<br />

authorized.<br />

Updates the policy on the Unit Ball cap: “This cap is made of the same<br />

<strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> blue material as the ODU with a rear hook and loop<br />

adjusting tab. Cap will have U. S. COAST GUARD embroidered in an<br />

arch across the front of the cap face in 1/2-inch gold “Block Caps”. The<br />

lettering will be placed on the hat to allow proper placement of the<br />

required rank insignia or CG device. Unit lettering will be 1/2 inch gold<br />

“Block Caps” embroidered 1/2 inch above and parallel to the visor, no<br />

more than 17 characters are authorized. The standards of Purchase<br />

Description 11-131B shall be adhered to!<br />
