Kroll Inc., a private investigating firm headquartered in New York, and
by the Coalition for International Justice. In 1991, Kroll was retained
by the government of Kuwait to conduct a global search for the Iraqi
regime’s foreign resources. Kroll’s work was updated in 2001. The
Coalition for International Justice produced a report entitled “Sources
of Revenue for Saddam & Sons: A Primer on the Financial Underpinnings
of the Regime in Baghdad,” dated September 2002. The lead researcher
in this effort was John Fawcett. Both John Fawcett and Jules
Kroll, chairman of Kroll Inc., spoke very knowledgably about Iraq at a
September 2003 conference on “Dirty Money and National Security”
at the Brookings Institution.
