ABSTRACT
The aim of the present research is to analyze the perceptions of the professionals
and users of the Family Health Strategy (ESF) of Manguinhos Complex – RJ – about
the relevance of theatrical language in the actions of Health Promotion, understood
here as a Poetic. As specific aims is desired to identify the perceptions that these
professionals have in relation to the use of theatrical language as an instrument of
Promotion Health, and the perceptions that these theatrical practices evoke on these
professionals and users. The theoretical methodology that drives the present study is
the Social Research in Health, modality Case Study, that makes use of quality
investigation strategies to analyze the perceptions that will give answers to the aims
of the study. The research is based on the hypothesis that this can reveal itself
relevant for instigating a debate about people’s life and health, and of the whole
community, in a collective and solidary way, establishing a reflection about the
Theatre of the Oppressed, proposed by Augusto Boal. The theatrical poetics that it
drives provoke debates, stimulating the grew of free citizen, responsible, conscious
and participant, as desired by the National Politics of Health Promotion, revealing
itself as an alternative work that has the responsibility of stimulating the popular
participation on Health Promotion, in a singular way. The inferences or deductions of
the perceptions of the users and professionals were shown as favorable to the use of
theatrical language on the Health Promotion activities of the ESF of Manguinhos.
The fact that almost all of the analyzed perceptions are positive is explained by the
historical absence of democracy in Brazil, that has oppressed for more than four and
a half centuries all these desires and are expressed on the accomplished interviews.
The relevance of the aims of the research shown by the analyze of the perceptions
gives bases for the Interdisciplinary – Action Theatre Within Life of Health Promotion
to structure itself as a permanent space in the ESF of Manguinhos Complex.
