Mangatawa Drain Flood Bypass and TEL Stormwater AEE
Further to our discussions with you and in view of Jo Bain’s email on the 04/09/09, we confirm the
return of the Phase 2 wetland earthworks activity to construct the wetland in our joint application for
Resource Consent submitted on behalf of NZ Transport Agency and Tauranga City Council. We
seek to alter the earthworks volumes in application and wish to make the following alterations to the
lodged AEE.

The last two lines should read:
“The total volume of earthworks required to be undertaken is approximately between
61,000m 3 – 80,000m 3 for the TEM component of the works only. See section 9.2.”
Page 71
The second bullet point should have the last sentence deleted, i.e. it should read:
“The total volume of earthworks required for TCC works in the proposed stormwater
treatment wetland is 16,000m 3 – 20,000m 3 .” Deleted – This will be the subject of a future
application.
Section 9.2, page 89
The second paragraph should read:
“The total volume of earthworks required to be undertaken is approximately 61,000m 3 –
80,000m 3 .”
