Gmina Buczek jest najbardziej znanym<br />
zagłębiem uprawy truskawek w regionie<br />
łódzkim, a odbywające się co roku w czerwcu<br />
Wojewódzkie Święto Truskawki jest podsumowaniem<br />
zbiorów tych szlachetnych<br />
i smacznych owoców. Tego dnia w Buczku<br />
królują przetwory, potrawy, ciasta, desery<br />
oraz nalewki a wszystko to oczywiście<br />
z... truskawek. Znakomitą kulinarną ucztę<br />
okraszają występy znanych zespołów muzycznych<br />
i ludowych, ciekawe konkursy oraz<br />
niezliczone atrakcje dla dzieci.<br />
STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL<br />
Buczek administrative district is the most famous<br />
for its strawberry fields in Lodz region. Wojewodzkie<br />
Swieto Truskawki (Provincial Strawberry<br />
Festival) is annually held every June to<br />
celebrate the harvest of this noble and tasty fruit.<br />
Except from the contests and concerts<br />
there are various attractions to please the<br />
palate: preserves, dishes, cakes, desserts and<br />
spirits, all strawberry based. This culinary<br />
feast is enriched with famous folk group concerts<br />
and numerous attractions for children.<br />

Jeziorsko Reservoir is an artificial basin<br />
of a retention type and was created in 1986<br />
as a result of up- lifting of the Warta waters<br />
with a 12 m high dam. The length of the reservoir<br />
is 16,3 km, its width ranges from 1,8<br />
km–3, 5 km and the area occupies over 4 tys<br />
ha. In the southern part of the Jeziorsko a bird<br />
sanctuary, as well as Nature Zone 2000 have<br />
been created. The aim of the protection is to<br />
provide brooding shelter for water and water-<br />
-marsh birds, both those living there all year<br />
round and migrating birds. The place offers<br />
excellent opportunities for birdwatching in<br />
the natural habitat.<br />
