The initial set time isthe recommended waiting period prior to handling a newlyassembled joint. After the initial set time, the joints will withstandthe stresses of normal installation. (Misalignment of componentsduring assembly will cause excessive stress in the joint, whichcan affect joint integrity). The cure time is the recommendedwaiting period prior to pressurizing newly assembled joints.Minimum cure time prior to pressure testing is dependent onpipe size, temperature, humidity, tightness of fit and test pressurerequired. Longer cure times must be allowed when working athigher humidity and colder temperatures.Refer to the following tables for minimum set and curetimes.
