Donot disassemble before use. Check tobe sure inner flat edge of grab ring isin place inside socket entrance.2. Examine pipe for nicks and scratchesin area of contact with seal ring. Do notsand the pipe end.3. Cut pipe square and to length.4. Chamfer generously outer edge ofpipe end using a file, knife or de-burringtool. De-burr inside edge.5. Insert pipe into fitting socket, pushingit all the way to pipe stops. Do not force to bottom of socket.6. Hold pipe firmly so that it will not rotate with nuts and does not jamagainst socket bottom.7. Using special spanner wrench, tighten nut firmly (approx. 20 ft. lbs. torque).196
