Thepercentage of flow through the valveswith either flow rate is equal to the degreeof opening. As the valves are opened orclosed, the flow varies in direct proportionto the valve opening. This permitspredictable, accurate control of thedownstream flow rate.*Valves are shipped with the ballinstalled so that the smaller openingenters the flow first, creating the slowopen rate.
