If you desire, you canmount Webster outside the tank as shown below. Care mustbe taken to mount the pump so that the motor is never belowthe maximum liquid level in the tank. This will insure againstaccidental motor flooding. Once it has begun pumping,Webster can lift water up to eight feet, making it an excellentpump for circulating or emptying liquids in deeper tanks.Install in tank. Eliminate loss of expensivesolutions or precious metals. Great forfiltration or carbon treating.Extend inlet for deeper tanks. Simplyclamp adapter plate to side of tank andturn on. You can pump down to bottomof inlet extension.A BETTER WAY• Run it dry if you wish (or if someone goofs). You can’t damagethe pump when this accidentally happens. Nor will you damagethe pump by continuous operation against a shutoff discharge.• No maintenance of mechanical seals or shaft bearings—thereare none. These pumps will even handle slightly abrasivesolutions.• Optimum, corrosion resistance is just one of the qualities of theseWebster pumps constructed of CPVC, PVDF or Polypropylene.No metals contact the solution being pumped.• No seals: The seal-less design eliminates a major problem areafor most pumps. There are no seals to wear out, meaning noleakage of expensive chemicals.• Webster pumps are equipped with totally enclosed motors, andthe baked epoxy painted motor enclosures are standard on allmodels. The motors are equipped with sealed ball bearingsand designed for continuous duty. The single-phase motorsare standard with automatic thermal overload protection, whilethe S2-S16 motors are dual-speed and dual-Hz. Refer to thespecifications for electrical characteristics.Install outside of tank and save neededspace. This is the only non-plasticcomponent in contact with the fluid being pumped.Other elastomers are available upon request.SHAFT: The 303 stainless pump shaft is isolatedfrom the fluid being pumped by a plastic impellersleeve. The sleeve, integral to the impeller, ismade of the same plastic material as the impellerand pump body.
