In each case,a 3-roller pump head operating at 600 RPMunder room temperature (73°F) conditionswas utilized. Tubing failure is measured inhours of use prior to rupture.RELATIVE CHEMICALRESISTANCE PROPERTIESAPPROVEDMATERIALThe performance of tubing in peristaltic pumpingapplications is affected by the conditions of useand equipment utilized, along with size and wallthickness of the tubing tested. The data above ispresented for information only and should not beutilized for specification purposes.RELATIVE PERMEABILITY COEFFICIENTSTubingMaterialCarbonDioxide NitrogenOxygenTygoprene XL-60TubingSilicone Tubing1,11642,800623,9001868,025Permeability Coefficient (x10¹¹) cc • cm / cm2 • s • cmHg PermeabilityCoefficient = (amount of gas (cm³) x tubing wall thickness (cm) / surfacearea of tubing ID (cm²) x time (seconds)) x pressure drop across tubingwall (cmHg)AcidsBasesTubing Conc. Tygoprene Pump Tubing can be considered analternative to silicone and PVC when longer pump tubing life is required.EXCELLENT PHYSICAL PROPERTIESTygoprene Pump Tubing is translucent in color and has excellent chemicalresistance to a wide range of fluids, including acids and bases. It also exhibitsexcellent resistance to ozone, oxygen and sunlight aging. Tygoprene PumpTubing remains flexible at -40°F and is temperature resistant up to 250°F.Tygoprene Pump Tubing complies with FDA CFR 21, 177.1210 criteria, whichare applicable for food contact applications, and is NSF listed under standard51. It has also passed the UL 94-HB flammability resistance classification.LOW EXTRACTABLESTygoprene Pump Tubing has low extractables, greatly reducing the risk of fluidcontamination in applications such as ink transfer. It does not impart taste to fluidsbeing transferred, making it an ideal choice for food and beverage applications.ORDER INFORMATION: 0009.(Size No.) TYGOPRENEXL-60 TUBING, 50 Foot Coil StandardSizeNo.O.D.(in.)I.D.(in.)Wall(in.)Min.
