"Street" means a Highway greater than 8 metres in width."Structure" means anything that is erected or constructed that is attached to, supported byor sunk into land or water but does not include Landscaping, surfacing improvements,fences permitted within the Zone and retaining walls under 1.0 metres in Height.“Urban Hens’ means female fowl kept for the purpose <strong>of</strong> laying eggs for food and doesnot include any fowl kept for breeding purposes.“Tourist” means Use providing for the accommodation <strong>of</strong> the travelling public in individualDwelling Units or sleeping units; may include within the Principal Building dining rooms,meeting ro oms and retail sales."Theatre" means a Building, Structure, or part there<strong>of</strong> intended for the production andviewing <strong>of</strong> the performing arts or the screening and viewing <strong>of</strong> motion pictures but excludesAdult Theatre."Use" means the purpose for which any Parcel, water surface, Building or Structure isdesigned, arranged or intended, occupied or maintained."Use, Single Family Residential" means a Use providing for domestic occupation <strong>of</strong> aSingle Family Building and Accessory Buildings and includes residential activities incidentalto such occupancy."Use, Two Family Residential" means a Use providing for domestic occupation <strong>of</strong> a TwoFamily Building and Accessory Buildings and includes residential activities incidental to suchoccupancy."Use, Townhouse Residential" means a Use providing for domestic occupation <strong>of</strong> aTownhouse Building and Accessory Buildings and includes residential activities incidental tosuch occupancy."Use, Apartment" means a Use providing for domestic occupation <strong>of</strong> an Apartment Buildingand Accessory Buildings and includes residential activities incidental to such occupancy.“Usable Open Space" means a compact, level unobstructed area available for safe andconvenient Use by all the Building's occupants, having no dimension less than 6.0 metresand no slope greater than 10%, providing for greenery, recreational space and leisureactivities normally carried on outdoors. Usable Open Space shall exclude areas used for <strong>of</strong>fstreet parking, <strong>of</strong>f street loading, service driveways and required Front Yards, and ro<strong>of</strong>Areas unless otherwise permitted in this <strong>Bylaw</strong>.“Video Store” means a Building, or portion <strong>of</strong> a Building, where motion pictures areavailable for distribution, sale or rental.“Warehouse Sales" means a Use <strong>of</strong> all or part <strong>of</strong> a Building where only furniture, carpetsand floor coverings, curtains and drapery, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures and supplies,pictures, picture frames, mirrors and appliances are displayed and <strong>of</strong>fered for sale to thepublic.PART 1 - 8
