PART 4 - GENERAL REGULATIONS11. PERMITTED USES(1) No land, the surface <strong>of</strong> water, Buildings or Structures in any Zone shall be used by theowner, occupier or any other person for any Use except as specifically permitted for theZone in which they are located.(2) No Private Garage shall be used for repairing or servicing <strong>of</strong> motor vehicles, other thanminor repairs and maintenance <strong>of</strong> vehicles owned by residents <strong>of</strong> the Parcel. Nocommercial vehicle repair equipment or facilities shall be located in a Private Garage.(3) Notwithstanding Section 11(1), land in the RD Zones may be used for Single FamilyResidential Use, land in the RM Zones may be used for Single Family and Two Familyresidential Use and land in the RM-4 and RM-5 Zones may be used for Single Family,Two Family and townhouse residential Use, subject to the following conditions:(a)(b)(c)only one type <strong>of</strong> residential Use shall be developed on a Parcel;a Building developed for a Use which is not permitted except pursuant to thissection shall be developed in accordance with the density, siting, size anddimension regulations in the lowest numbered Zone in which that Use is permitted;andParcels zoned RS-4 and RS-4A shall be used only for Uses permitted inSection 36.1(1) and 37(1) and no Bed and Breakfast residential Uses arepermitted in any other Zone.12. NUMBER OF PRINCIPAL BUILDINGSNot more than one Principal Building shall be located on any Parcel zoned Single Family or TwoFamily Residential.13. HOME OCCUPATIONSA Home Occupation is permitted provided:(1) there is only one Home Occupation per Dwelling Unit,(2) the Home Occupation, including any accessory storage <strong>of</strong> goods or materials, shall beoperated and contained completely within the Dwelling Unit or Accessory Buildings;(3) the Home Occupation shall not occupy more than 15% <strong>of</strong> the Gross Floor Area <strong>of</strong> theDwelling Unit, and in any event shall not exceed 46 square metres;(4) there is no evidence <strong>of</strong> the Home Occupation Use, including no exterior storage oroperation <strong>of</strong> the Home Occupation, except a sign identifying the Home Occupation whichshall comply with the Corporation <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Township</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Esquimalt</strong> Sign <strong>Bylaw</strong>;(5) the Home Occupation Use is conducted only by a resident <strong>of</strong> the Dwelling Unit;PART 4 - 1
