14. COMMUNICATION FACILITIES14.1 GENERALThe Contractor shall design, manufacture, deliver to the Site and install thefollowing communication facilities:a. Internal telephone systemb. Paging system14.2 INTERNAL TELEPHONE SYSTEM14.2.1 PRIVATE AUTOMATIC BRANCH EXCHANGEThe exchange shall be of a PABX type approved by the Ministry ofCommunications for connection to the public telephone network and in-stalledwith in the central control room of the power station.The initial installed capacity shall be 10 exchange lines and 50 extension lines.The exchange shall be capable of expansion to a capacity of more than 20exchange lines and 100 extension lines. A single operator's position shall beprovided.All internal telephone connections within the power station boundary shall be theresponsibility of the Contractor, but the interconnecting cables between the PABXand the public telephone network shall not be the responsibility of the Contractorexcept all facilities for the connection of this service within the building.(1) FunctionsThe PABX system shall be provided with the following functions:a. Extension to extension calls shall be made by direct dialling.Extension to exchange lines and PLC lines for dialling a single access digit shallmake outgoing calls.Operator access from extension by dialling a single digit shall be required.Trunk barring on outgoing calls shall be provided as required on selectedextensions.Provision for limited barring on outgoing calls from selected extensions shall beprovided.Operator recall from an extension engaged with an incoming or outgoing call shallbe effected by operation of a recall button followed by dialling the operator accessdigit.Call transfer between extensions on incoming and outgoing public ex-change callsshall be provided.Ghorasal 200 MW to 300 MW Gas Turbine Peaking Power Plant Project (Vol-2 of 3)124
