complete well-draw-down test results for check and determination of the actualhead and setting of the deep well pump.(6) Data to be Submitted with BidsA complete list and description of equipment, plant and tools for executing thework in accordance with these Specifications and their location at the time ofopening of bids in order that they may be inspected by the Board.17.10.5.3 Deep-well Pump(1) GeneralThe Contractor shall furnish, deliver, install and test a motor-driven pumps (2X100% capacity) complete with accessories and housing at the top of the well in accordancewith these Specification.(2) Type and DescriptionThe deep-well pump shall be a submersible type with a cast iron body, bronzeimpeller, high-grade steel discharge column and stainless steel shaft. Thedischarge pipe column and drive shaft of ample size shall be supplied withinterchangeable sections of not greater than 3.0 m in length.This pump shall be operated in conjunction with the float switch to be installed inboth the elevated water tank and fire fighting storage tank.All water passages of the pump shall be smooth and long term corrosionresistanceof dependable operation.(3) Rated CapacityThe deep-well pump shall be rated to a discharge capacity of approximately, 600lit/m against a total dynamic head of the system as determined. The total head ofeach pump may vary and it is required that the pump be capable of satisfactoryoperation within fluctuations of head.The pump shall be guaranteed to circulate not less than the specified quantity ofwater when pumping and without producing excessive vibration and noise. Theefficiency of the unit shall be as high as good engineering practice will permit.(4) Electrical Worksa) Pump MotorThe motor shall be submersible type, full voltage starting and with torque-lockedrotor current and slip characteristics conforming to standard equivalent to thoseof the IEC Standard.It shall be of the continuous duty type for operation on 415 volt, 3-phase, 50-flz.Motors shall be capable of operating continuously at rated output plus or minus5% of the rated frequency and at any voltage within plus or minus 10% of therated value.185Ghorasal 200 MW to 300 MW Gas Turbine Peaking Power Plant Project (Vol-2 of 3)
