time-settlement and recovery of the pile as the load is removed.(10) Rejection of PilesIf any pile is in any Fay unsatisfactory to the Board he reserves the right to orderthe Contractor to install replacement piles at the locations selected by the Boardat no extra cost.17.4.3 FOUNDATION OF GAS TURBINE GENERATOR, Fuel Oil Tank,Emergency Diesel Generator, Transformers, Switchgears etc.Appropriate foundations shall be provided for the gas turbine generating units.The gas turbine generating units shall be supported by the reinforced blockfoundation.The Tenderer shall together with his Bid provide adequate information and datarequired for the design of the gas turbine generating units foundation.The design drawings and calculation sheets shall be submitted to the Board forapproval prior to commence the construction.(1) Design load and CombinationThe following loads and external forces shall be considered for structural analysisof the gas turbine generating unit foundations.a. Concrete weightb. Machine weightC. Dynamic load (vertical direction)d. Dynamic load (horizontal direction)e. Short circuit force of generatorf. Seismic horizontal ground acceleration : 0.15gIn following load cases, the worst case shall be selected for the design of the gasturbine generating unit foundation.Long terma+b+c or a+b+d- short terma-b+e or a+b+c+f or a+b+d+f17.4.4 FOUNDATION FOR BUILDING AND OTHER EQUIPMENTSuitable foundations shall be provided for the elevated water tank, switchyardequipment, radiators, overhead travelling crane, buildings, transformersequipment, and miscellaneous structures.17.4.5 HARDCOREThe Contractor shall place where required hardcore under the foundations of theequipment.
