4.3.6 Voltage TransformerThe voltage transformers shall be of the horizontally with draw-out type and shallbe located on top parts of each unit switchgear. Padlocking facilities shall beprovided for both the services and isolated positions. The fixed isolating contactsshall be covered by a positively driven padlockable shutter when the voltagetransformer is withdrawn.The ratio, rating, polarity and accuracy classes [tariff metering] of voltagetransformers shall conform to IEC 186.The current limiting fuses shall be providedon high tension circuit of the voltage transformer.4.3.7 Surge Absorbing EquipmentThe surge arresters and capacitors for surge protection of the generator shall beprovided.4.3.8 Neutral Earthing Equipment(1) Neutral Earthing TransformerA single-phase, 50 Hz, dry or oil immerse type, naturally cooled neutral earthingtransformer conforming to IEC 76 shall be provided for generating unit.The voltage ratio of transformer shall be 11,000/ 240 V. The continuous rating inKVA appropriate to an earth fault duration of 30 seconds and a maximum primaryearth fault current of 10 A shall be determined by the Contractor.Insulation level of primary winding shall be of BIL 75 KV.(2) Earthing ResistorThe resistance of secondary resistor on neutral earthing transformer shall beequal to one third of the zero sequence capacitance per phase of the generatorplus the bus bar capacitors if provided.
