(5) Limit SwitchAutomatic reset, totally enclosed, heavy duty, adjustable limit switches shall beprovided to limit the travel of the trolley and the bridge. The switches shalldisconnect power supply to the motor when either the bridge or the trolley hastravelled to within braking distance of its respective stop at either end of thetravel. A warning signal, preferably a buzzer installed in the cab, shall alert thecrane operator when the trolley approaches its stops. The signal shall be activatedahead of the trolley's limit switch.(6) Protective PanelAll power circuits to motors and all secondary circuits such as lighting shall beplaced in the panel. The panel shall also include all overload relays, low voltagecontrol, and all other necessary equipment recommended by the Contractor.(7) Runway Conductors and Trolley ConductorThe Contractor shall furnish the main runway conductors, insulators, supportbrackets, and all other necessary equipment required for installation. TheContractor shall also furnish and install the trolley conductors, insulators andaccessories required for the complete operating system. The insulators shall bebrown glazed porcelain insulators. The size of conductor shall not be less than125 sq. mm solid copper.(8) CablingAll cabling, collector gear and power supply conductors required for the operationof the crane shall be supplied by the Contractor. The crane shall be capable oftravelling the full length of the turbine area.Support brackets, suitably insulated, shall be supplied by the Contractor for powersupply conductors. Power cables and isolation switch for the supply to the powersupply conductors shall also be supplied by the Contractor.15.1.9 GANTRY STRUCTURE, RAILS AND GIRDERSThe Contractor shall supply a set of gantry structure complete withweather protection shed, rails and girders holding down bolts and abutmentplates located at the ends of each rail. Gantry rails and girders shall run over thefull length of the turbine area and adequate allowance for thermal expansion shallbe provided in the design. The structural steel shall be designed and fabricatedconform to the Section 18.5.1.The weather protection shed shall be provided to cover the working area of thecrane. The material of the shed shall be corrugated asbestos cement sheet.
