17.1.4 SITE LABORATORYThe Contractor shall provide a site laboratory with a concrete floor space of notless than 4m x 6m adequately equipped to carry out quality control tests ofmaterial and workmanship in accordance with the procedures and tests asdescribed in the relevant ASTM Standard or other approved Standard. He may asan alternative to the provision of laboratory equipment, make arrangement for allnecessary tests to be carried out by personnel with relevant experience from anapproved laboratory.17.1.5 RECORDS AND DRAWINGSThe Contractor shall keep at the Site accurate and upto-date records anddrawings of the Works, and shall submit these records to the Board at the end ofevery week. Such record shall include the amount of labour, plant and materialsemployed upon the Site during that week.17.1.6 SAMPLES, TESTING AND INSPECTIONThe Board may request at any time to test or inspect sample of material andworkmanship proposed and the Contractor shall furnish these immediately. Whenthe Board & Engineer has approved the samples, material, and workmanship notcorresponding in quality and character with the samples approved shall berejected. The costs of all sampling and testing to be conducted either on the Siteor in an approved laboratory shall be borne by the Contractor.17.1.7 STANDARDS AND CODES OF PRACTICEThe Civil Works shall be designed and constructed in accordance with theSpecifications, relevant Standards and Codes of Practice of Bangladesh NationalBuilding Code. The Contractor shall submit together with his bid a schedule ofstandards and codes of practice to be followed in the design and construction ofthe Works. Copies of these codes and standards shall be made available to theBoard & Engineer during the design and construction period. In the case of theStandards and Codes not published in English, the Contractor shall obtain Englishtranslations when required and send them to the Board.The Contractor shall be responsible for the establishment of design parameters tosatisfy the requirement of the project.Basic design conditions shall be as follows: -a.
