And thestructure of the panel shall be so designed as to be of rainwater proof and toprevent rusting on the hinges due to rainwater.(2) Local instrument PanelIt shall be of steel made for indoor use, vertical and self-standing type withdouble swing door on the back. Indicating instruments such as pressure gauges,etc. shall be fitted on the front panel and the pressure switches and thetransmitters for recorder, etc. shall be fitted inside the panel. Accessories such astest valves, orifice, etc. necessary for the various tests shall be installed inside thepanel so that calibration of instruments, confirmation test of setting value forpressure switches, etc. could be carried out without removing the instruments.The connection of electrical wiring and instrument pipes between inside andoutside panel shall be made at terminal block. The instruments and devices shallbe so arranged that in case of any leakage of oil or water from the instrumentpipes in the panel will cause no damage to the electrical equipment inside thepanel.8.6 230 kV SWITCHGEAR CONTROL AND PROTECTION8.6.1 230 kV SWITCHGEAR EQUIPMENT PANELThe following panels for controlling, indicating and protecting of 230 kVswitchgear equipment shall be provided, but not to be limited to, in the centralcontrol room:A. Synchroniser PanelAll front panels of the above shall be equipped with control and metering facilities,and all rear panels shall be equipped with protection relays.
