Subtracts trace B from trace A, adds the display line value to the difference, <strong>and</strong> sends the<br />

result to trace A during every sweep of the spectrum analyzer.<br />

Initial&s spectrum analog activates singlesweep<br />

mode.<br />

Sets trace A to 5000 measurement units, which<br />

is equal to -10 dBm.<br />

Sets trace B to 4000 measurement units, which<br />

is equal to -20 dBm.<br />

Sets display line to 0 dBm, which is at 6000<br />

measurement units.<br />

Performs trace A - trace B + display line. The<br />

result is 5000 - 4000 + 6000 = 7000 or 10 dBm.<br />

Note that this has resulted in a subtraction of<br />

amplitude in dBm, -10 dBm -(-20 dBm) = 10<br />

dBm.
