Stage Fright!

called Puff Puff Pink if you're interested,’ interjected
Mrs Theodora Whistle-White grandly, as she popped
up from behind a rose bed in her garden, where she
had been deadheading. ‘I say Farmer Bagwash! What
are you doing?’
It appeared Farmer Bagwash had suddenly gone
completely mad. With Lollipop at his heels, he leapt
over Mrs Whistle-White's pride and joy of a privet
hedge, which had been carefully clipped into shapes
of peacocks, ran up to Tim Stack and almost
exploding, shouted, ‘Berwooomph! My bloomin’
ladder! You're up my bloomin’ ladder!’
As he spoke Farmer Bagwash shook the ladder
vigorously.
The ladder wobbled so violently that Tim dropped
his bucket of Puff Puff Pink paint over the barking
Lollipop. Lollipop found herself covered from head
to tail in the horrible, sticky pink stuff! In fright she
tore around at top speed leaving bright pink paw
marks all over Mrs Whistle-White's stone patio.
‘Lollipop!’ shouted Farmer Bagwash, forgetting the
ladder. But Lollipop was very upset by the goo all over
her fur and continued to bark and race around in
circles in panic.
‘My patio!’ screeched Mrs Whistle-White. ‘It's
ruined! Ruined! Ruined!’
