Stage Fright!

The Ghost Hunt
School the next morning was agog with talk of
The Barn Theatre ghosts.
‘Ooooooh!’ said Elsa and Rosalie racing around
the playground. ‘Nobody will want to come to your
play now that we know your barn is haunted!’
‘It's not haunted,’ retorted Sophie angrily. ‘How do
you know about the ghosts anyway?’
‘I know all about it because my baby sister, Lou
was up all night bawling her eyes out saying she was
frightened of the ghosts she had seen at The Barn
Theatre!’ said Elsa, triumphantly.
‘Is that true, Lou?’ asked Sophie crossly.
‘I'm sorry Sophie. I know I shouldn't have said but
I woke in the middle of the night and I kept
imagining those two horrible ghosts we saw. I was
so scared mum had to come and sleep in my room
with me.’
‘See!’ said Elsa to the gathering crowd of
schoolchildren. ‘Lou did see some ghosts at The Barn
Theatre. It is haunted. None of us want to come and
see your play now Sophie and Cressida!’
Elsa and Rosalie ran off ran round the playground
making ghostly sounds and chasing and frightening
the little ones.
