But she realised it was important that the members thought that she and Sophie knew what they were doing so she added, ‘Yes Christmas!’ ‘What play are we going to do?’ asked Beaky, whose real name was Sarah, but everyone called her Beaky because the had the longest, sharpest nose you have ever seen. She kept her nose in a book - which means she was always reading - not that she took her nose off and left it in a book - and it was rumoured she kept it extra sharp so she could turn pages with it 26
so she could read super fast. Beaky was used to the name now and didn’t mind. She was actually rather proud of her nose and thought of it as a friend.
