an enormous ‘berwooomph!’ Farmer Bagwash made<br />
a dive for his dog, but Lollipop thinking it all a jolly<br />
game leapt out of the way just in time.<br />
Farmer Bagwash crashed to the ground, knocking<br />
Mrs Whistle-White's chair as he went, unbalancing<br />
her so that with a final, ear-piercing ‘Waaaaaaaah!’<br />
she was tossed into the air and landed in a flurry of<br />
white fur, bang crash on top of the spread-eagled<br />
Farmer Bagwash!<br />
Meanwhile Lollipop made her escape.<br />
The audience tried to catch her but it was no good.<br />
She was thoroughly enjoying herself leaping over<br />
chairs, squeezing through legs and wriggling out of<br />
hands trying to grab her. Amidst all the hub bub she<br />
heard a low whistle.<br />
‘Here Lollipop. Come here Lolly.’<br />
Backstage Cressida grinned. That was her dad,<br />
Tim Stack. No mistake. Lollipop, hearing Tim's quiet,<br />
calm voice forgot all about the big, furry<br />
Whistle-White monster and the game of chase, and<br />
bounded over to Tim. The dog gave Tim an<br />
affectionate lick then flopped herself at his feet,<br />
enjoying being patted and stroked.<br />
The rest of the audience picked up fallen chairs,<br />
Mrs Theodora Whistle-White disentangled herself<br />
from Farmer Bagwash, everyone sat down and John,<br />
