‘Although, I do have a bit of a bad leg. Look I fell<br />
over yethterday and got a brewth on my knee. It’th<br />
very thore but that would help wouldn’t it?’<br />
‘Yes Susie.’<br />
By the end of the meeting, after much to-ing and<br />
fro-ing, all was agreed. Cressida produced the final,<br />
final cast list. Everyone was happy although Susie was<br />
still anxious.<br />
‘I know I will be able to hobble like Tiny Tim ath<br />
I do have a bad leg tho I can pwactith but do I have<br />
to thay vewee much?’ she asked nervously.<br />
Sophie remembered how she had upset Susie on<br />
her first day and was determined not to do so again.<br />
‘Not if you don't want to,’ she said kindly. ‘When<br />
you've read the script Beaky can change it if you are<br />
still worried.’<br />
‘Could I be the prompt as well?’ asked Beaky.<br />
‘Yes!’ said everyone apart from Susie.<br />
‘What doth the prompt do?’<br />
‘The prompt keeps a copy of the script backstage.<br />
If anyone forgets their lines during the play the<br />
prompt just reads a few words out to help them get<br />
going again,’ explained Cressida.<br />
‘I bet that will be me!’ wailed Susie. ‘I’ll be thow,<br />
thow nervouth!’<br />
‘No you won’t,’ said Cressida, ‘because we will<br />
