Stage Fright!

‘Let me help you write the script,’ said Albert and
he dragged out an ancient typewriter. ‘You tell me
what to type and I will type. What’s the first line?’
Beaky stared at the book. Writing the script was
going to be much harder than she thought. She
tapped her nose.
‘I don’t know where to start.’
‘At the beginning I should think,’ said Albert.
‘Dickens words are magnificent so let’s use them as
much as possible, cut down on the number of
characters otherwise you’ll need a cast of thousands,
make it rhyme to make it easier to learn and have lots
of bits for the audience to join
in. What do you think?’
Beaky hugged
her grandpa.
What would
she do
without him!
It was with
a great deal
of pride that
Beaky handed out
a copy of the script to
each member at the
meeting.
