Stage Fright!

King Arthur and started. Could she have seen
correctly? Did he just wink at her? Perhaps things were
going to work out for the best after all... but she
couldn't imagine how!
By the end of the week they had cleared all the
junk out of the barn. Every evening when dad got
home he put on his old clothes and got to work. He
piled up the ancient timber in a great stack at the
end of the yard, took eight sacks of rubbish down
to the skip, sold off an old lawn
mower and gave away boxes
and boxes of
books to a
local charity
shop. Mum got
busy sweeping out the dust and whitewashing the
walls. It was starting to look much better!
Sophie, John and Cressida helped, managing to get
covered in cobwebs, dust, dirt and whitewash. John
had been in his
element discovering six
different species of
spiders so far and a
colony of earwigs.
